I am a huge lover of Shellac and Gelish but, I am so impatient. I get bored of a colour in 1 week and to be honest if I had the money I’d want them done EVERY week!
So with that in mind, I have tried so many “Gel effect without the need for a LED/UV Lamp”. Some have no base coat (without base coats the colour in the polish stains your nails), some are too thick with skinny brushes and some polishes the colours are so thin that even 3 thin or thick coats do not work. And then some of them are SO expensive. If you are like me and go in to buy a nail polish and want to pay a maximum of about €8, then there is no way you could afford to start a collection for the more well-known “At home Gel like polishes”.
I took a detour on Saturday to Penneys for a quick look at their make-up ranges. All the ranges they stock are so affordable but I never seen Catrice Cosmetics before.
I picked up yet another “Gel At home” range. The amazing thing about this Base and Top coat apart from being €3.99 each is that they will work with all the different nail polish ranges that Catrice carry. I counted about 25 different colours on Saturday with prices range from €2.49 to €3.25. The polish I bought was from the “Luxury Nudes” – 06 Magical Nude.
The brushes are so easy to use. They are flat and just the perfect size to apply the polish with just 3 strokes, a nail technicians dream!
My advice is go get them. They are a treat but they won’t break the bank and the fact that the polishes are such quality and the price is too good not to try.
It’s been on my nails for 48 hours now and it hasn’t chipped and still looks like a professional finish if I do say so myself.
