Did you know that Galway has the most amazing Fashion Boutiques?
Neither did I until I was invited to attended the Galway Fashion Trail. We went along to 9 of the best of the best in Galway City.
Our day started in Colm Quinn BMW. We were treated to breakfast and also got to take pictures with the ultimate luxury cars that I can only dream about owning. We were chauffeur driven into Galway City.
Our First stop On the Galway Fashion Trail was Colette Latchford Boutique. This is a perfect Boutique for all things wedding. Perfect Wedding guest outfits, Mother of the Groom and the all important Mother of the Bride outfit. Colette Latchford caters for ages 18 to 90. There is something for everyone here.
We were so lucky with the weather in Galway. A warm dry sunny day made it ideal for the Fashion Trail. We headed to Greenes Shoes. I was in heaven as I love shoes and I am starting to think I have a problem actually. As I have the ability to buy shoes first then build the outfit around it. These 5 boots were my top picks. I took about 30 pictures of different shoes. The boots are in around the same price and the boots that are €120 are from Bourdon Footwear By Amy Huberman.
The Galway Hat Shop was next. I love everything about hats, wearing and trying them on. The minute I walked into the shop I spotted this striking pink hat. I fell in love. Perfect for winter weddings, summer weddings and for Race day outings.
Just around the corner is the Treasure Chest. It is celebrating 50 years in business this year and the warm welcome from the friendly staff is part of the reason they have been there for 50 years. It is a type of shop that you can go into buy your own Christmas outfit and cover all of your Christmas present list in just one shop. Here at the Treasure Chest we got to see designs from Colin Burke, winner of the Student Fashion Designer of the Year from Fashion Innovation Awards in March 2016.
Just before we headed to lunch it was time to head to Willow. They have a wide range of labels including Ted Baker and Vila.
After Willow we had a well-deserved lunch at Caprice Cafe. The interior of this cafe is every Instagram enthusiast dream.
Re-energised from Caprice Cafe we headed to Rocco. This store has so many individual and different pieces.
Next we went to Choice Boutique. They have beautiful casual pieces that can also be added to your wardrobe staples for occasion wear. My favourite was the Brown Gillet with Black PU trim. Looking forward to styling with a Knitted Dress and Boots,
Kilkenny Store was next and the range of designers and looks they have are just exceptional.
On our final stop of the day we went to Harper Galway.
This was my favourite stop on the Galway Fashion Trail.
The most important thing you need to know about Harper is that not only are their prices and choice amazing, they stock sizes from 8 to 16. I was amazed at this. A lot of boutiques in Dublin only stock size 6 to 10 and you may be really lucky to come across a size 12. The owner is Martina and she is so helpful and super proud of her store. Martina we need Harper in Dublin… There are dresses for your night out with the girls to bridesmaid style.
Hope you enjoyed my review of the day as much as I did on the day. I feel so honoured to have been included in the 20 bloggers picked to attend this event. Huge thank you to Saibh and Sinead from ‘Into The West Blogger Network’ for being so welcoming.
