Have you ever been in Temple Bar in Dublin City Centre and waited a quick bite to eat but with no hassle of booking tables or worrying if your child would scream the place down when all you wanted to do was have a burger and beer maybe? The answer is GBK Temple Bar. Newly refurbished there is no better time to head along.
It is fast food with an added touch of class. GBK stands for Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Instead of just a classic burger with cheese, the menu has everything from Spicy Chicken Wings to a Persian Lamb burger. GBK also have 3 types of veggie burgers, 3 types of fries and extras for your burger that includes avocado. Not forgetting the all important kids menu. It has Junior Beef and chicken burger, a veggie burger and chicken strips. It would please any picky child.
After taking way too much time to decide what to eat we finally ordered. Orders are placed at the tills and soft drinks are refillable. Perfect after a walk around Dublin City exploring. I went for The TaxiDriver with no bun, just to be a little more healthy and Skin-On Fries with a Coca Cola. My other half went for the special of the day. It was called an X Burger with chunky Skin-On Fries with a pint of Heineken.
You might have guessed that we decided to skip the desserts today. The burger was filling enough. I had a cappucino and himself had another Heineken. It has a relaxed feel and you are not rushed from your seat.
There is a large seating area outside. It is heated and covered which is so nice and and right in the middle of the Temple Bar the atmosphere is amazing.
Have you tried GBK yet? They are located in Dublin and around the UK.
