As promised here is a step by step guide so you can go to Boots, Primark (penneys) or a Pharmacy (drugstore) to buy a Foundation that will match your skin perfectly.

STEP 1;

Take this quiz and come straight back

So now you know your skin tone. This is going to save you so much time and money. Yes money because instead of going to a makeup counter to get colour matched, you can now go to the Rimmel / L’oreal any of them with the following extra tips.

STEP 2;

Are you NEUTRAL?¬†lucky you. You sit on the middle of the scale. Not too Pink and not too Yellow. I know some brands will have a ‘N’ on the label but if not look for these keywords.

Key words to look for on the label are;

IVORY, BUFF, NUDE & PRALINE

Are you COOL? (I AM) You have pink or red undertones. Some brands will have a ‘C’ on the label. The foundation will pinkish in the bottle.

Key words to look for on the label are;

PORCELAIN, ROSE, SABLE, IVORY

Are you WARM? You have yellow or peach undertones. Some brands will say ‘W’ on the label. The foundation may look more yellow / golden in the bottle.

Key words to look for on the label are;

GOLDEN, HONEY, WARM BEIGE, WARM, SAND, TAN, CARAMEL, CHESTNUT

STEP 3;

If you still can’t get warm, neutral, cool go to this page. L’oreal tell you exactly what shade to buy.

STEP 4;

GO TO BOOTS / PHARMACY / PRIMARK / HOUSE OF FRASER.

Try the colours you think is right on your jawline. It will blend perfect here and will be able to see exactly if its the correct shade within seconds.

I went straight to get the True Match foundation in ‘2C’ and by doing all these steps it was perfect for me.

Let me know if it works.
