Work Wear – Part 1 Business Casual

Hi ladies,

The beautiful Louise asked me on Facebook to do a post on Work Wear. More importantly to clarify the difference between “Business Casual” and “Smart Casual” dress codes.

So today I am going to give you some ideas on dressing for Business Casual.

First, you may ask, what is “Business Casual”?

After spending time trying to define it, the best definition I found is “A Classic, Clean Cut, and put together look where a full suit is not required”.

With that in mind, for a man it means no tie or suit jacket. It means Chinos are acceptable and polo shirts and sweaters but no sportswear or open toe shoes.

For ladies, it means a hem line just above the knee, chinos, trousers, tops (like the one from Penneys below).

And if all else fails ask yourself, would I wear it to a nightclub? If the answer is Yes put it back in the wardrobe.

I really like my few picks. I hope you do too.
